Managing Inflammation!
Â
Signs and symptoms of inflammation
Â
Â
When we have ongoing symptoms that don't go away they are invariably triggered by inflammation which often need more than just medical attention.
Active symptoms that linger and don't go away include fatigue, aches and pains, infections, dry and sore eyes and mouth, light sensitivity, skin rashes and hives, digestive and gut problems, allergies and intolerances, slower wound healing and recovery after surgery, and so on.
It may be that you're engaging in activities that are precipitating or exacerbating these symptoms. In particular, smoking or drinking alcohol, overconsuming processed/inflammatory foods, not sleeping well, inactive physical activity, malnourished or overweight, experiencing elevated and prolonged levels of stress and anxiety, using products or medications that are causing harm, and having very little positive social support to help manage life well.
These are all modifiable risk factors that we can influence by changing aspects of our lifestyle i.e., doing less of the harmful things and increasing activity in areas which will help to avoid triggering more inflammation and symptoms.Â
